More than 30 years ago, José Luis came from Ecuador to Bonn and spent years searching for the flavours of home, whether the right flour, the usual coffee or the Sunday aguardiente. Products he used to find on any corner back home and that barely existed in Bonn.
In 2024, together with his wife, he turned that search into Encanto Latino Shop-Kiosk, the Latin grocery store in Bonn where Colombians, Mexicans, Ecuadorians, Peruvians and the whole Latin community find what they grew up with, served in Spanish and steps from Bonn’s town hall.
