More than 30 years ago, José Luis came from Ecuador to Bonn. For years he searched for the flavours of his homeland, whether the right flour, the usual coffee or the Sunday aguardiente. Products he found on any corner in Ecuador and that barely existed in Bonn.
In 2024, together with his wife, he decided the Latin community in Bonn should not have to keep searching. That is how Encanto Latino Shop-Kiosk was born, the Latin grocery store right in the centre of Bonn where Colombians, Mexicans, Ecuadorians, Peruvians and Latinos from all over the Americas find what they grew up with, served in Spanish.
We are the only Latin American store in Bonn licensed to sell imported alcohol, and we open late on Fridays and Saturdays, because Latinos don’t call it a night early.
You will find us at Maxstr. 16, right across from Bonn’s town hall and a few minutes from the central station, so no one has to spend years searching for what is easy to find here.
